Pre-hospital Trauma Care Workshop, 12 CPD | Bristol | March 2018 England

17 March 2018 to 18 March 2018

‘The Trauma workshop enables practitioners to effectively treat acutely ill patients in a constantly changing pre-hospital environment’.

Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for 12 CPD.

The Trauma course is an innovative, focused and highly interactive two day workshop. Expert faculty will teach the key skills needed to assess and stabilise the critically ill trauma patient in pre-hospital environments, leading to improved patient outcomes and survival.

This course is ideal for medically qualified staff (nurses, doctors and paramedics) seeking to pursue a focus on trauma care both in and out of the hospital. The course will explore the pathophysiology, primary injuries and secondary injuries involved in trauma. It will also teach the management of such injuries to minimise sequelae from secondary traumatic injuries. The course will also identify sensitive and specific tools and signs of injury to help identify time critical cases.

‘The Trauma workshop is designed to produce a more resilient, effective and efficient approach in acutely injured and unwell patients. The focused patient assessment and stepwise approach enables the optimal treatment to the critical patient in the shortest time frame.’

'An absolutely superb course. Great teaching and conveyance of the principles and mentality of approaching the prehospital trauma patient. It really challenged my current mode of thinking and gave me insight into the difficult decision making that can be simplified by amplifying the awareness of human factors, CRM and sharing the mental model.

The faculty were excellent and it was great to see the passion they had in what they were teaching. Left the weekend feeling very positive and inspired to look further into the world of Pre-hospital Trauma. All round superb course and i have already recommended it to friends.'
