Likoma Island is remotely situated on Lake Malawi and has an estimated population of 8,000. The hospital would welcome doctors interested in teaching and with a broad range of medical knowledge, experience/qualifications in tropical medicine and at least 5 years post-graduate experience.

Surgeons and anaesthetists would be welcome as there are training needs in these areas. Ideally the volunteer would spend at least 2 months at the hospital. Accomodation is provided. If interested please contact Dr Alison Cook
